Ingredients:


3 pound shoulder beef cut to cubes
1 chopped onion
3 roasted red peppers, fresh or canned
6 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp paprika
3 bay leaves
1 tsp ground caraway
Chili pepper to taste
Salt pepper
1 ½ boiling water


Directions:


Mix the roasted peppers to paste
Add salt and pepper to beef and mix well
Fry the beef to golden surfaces and set the beef aside
In same pot, fry the onion and the bay leaves for 5 minutes
Add the beef back to pot and mix for a minute
Add the rest of the spices and mix for a minute
Add the red pepper paste and mix
Add the water, bring to boil, cover and cook for 2 hours in low heat

This dish is served with potato dumplings (see recipe)
