Dough:
2 cups flour
3 egg yolks
1 tbsp yeast
½ cup lukewarm milk
2oz butter
2oz sugar
1 tsp vanilla
½ tsp salt
Filling:
½ cup cocoa powder
1/2 tsp cinnamon
2oz butter
Directions:
Mix the yeast with the milk to create yeast starter and set aside until foam starts to create
In a large bowl or in a mixer, mix well the butter and the sugar
Add the egg yolks one at a time while mixing
Add the vanilla while mixing
Add the salt then add the flour gradually while mixing
Add the yeast starter and keep mixing until smooth dough is achieved
Cover with plastic wrap and set aside to rise for 2 hours
Roll out the dough to about ¼ of an inch, if it sticks sprinkle flour on top while rolling out
Mix the filling ingredients to create a chocolate spread and spread it over the dough sheet
Roll the dough sheets and pinch the edges to seal
Flatten the cylinder to get a flat layer of about 2 inches thick
Using a sharp knife, cut the flat in the middle along the length
Twist the two stripe to create a rope
Using a round cake pan, lay the rope to create spiral starting from outer area.
Preheat oven to 350F and bake until golden
