Ingredients:


2 pound tender ground beef
½ pound raisins
4 grated and drained onions
½ cup tomato paste
½ cup lemon juice
6 tbsp sugar
2 eggs
½ cup bread crumbs
2 tbsp paprika
½ tsp turmeric
Salt
Pepper
4 tbsp Olive oil


Directions:


In a large bowl mix the following:
Ground beef
Eggs
Bread crumbs
Paprika
Salt
Pepper

Make small balls a bit larger than a golf ball and then flatten it to achieve a patty
Fry the patties to golden
Sprinkle the raisins over the fried patties
Mix the lemon juice, the sugar, the turmeric and the tomato paste and pour over the patties just to cover them
Bring to boil and then cook in low heat for an hour

May be served as a main or as a side dish together with rice
