2 pound chicken breast
½ pound ground beef
1 ½ cups basmati rice
1 chopped onion
5 minced garlic cloves
½ cup chopped parsley
2 tbsp soup mix
3 cups boiling water
4 tbsp olive oil
Salt
Pepper
Directions:
Soak the rice in cold water
Mix the soup mix with the water and set aside (you may use chicken broth instead)
Start frying the onion and when it becomes transparent, drop the chicken breast pieces and fry the surface (make sure the chicken touches the bottom of the pan and not sitting on the onion
Remove the chicken and set aside
Add the beef to the onion and keep frying until brown
Add the garlic and stir for a minute
Add all spices and stir
Drain the rice, add to beef and mix well
Push the chicken into the rice
Pour the soup mix over the chicken and rice
Pre heat oven to 350 deg F
Cover the pan and bake in oven for half hour
Serve with chopped parsley sprinkled on top.
