Ingredients:


2 pound beef
4 chicken drum sticks
2 cups rice
2 pound tomato cut to cubes
1 carrot cut to cubes
2 carrot cut to round slices
2 appricot (fresh or dry)
1 smith apple cut to cubes
3 prunes pitted and chopped
3 pitted dates chopped
1 tbsp tomato paste
1 tbsp course salt
½ cup orange juice
1 cup water
½ cup olive oil


Directions:


In a large pot heat the oil and add the carrot rings until brown
Add all fruits and mix and cook until soften
Add the tomato and the tomato paste cook 3 minute while stirring
Add the meat and the chicken, fry for 15 minutes and remove them and put aside
Lower heat to medium and add the rice and the salt and mix, cook until all liquids absorbed and remove the pot content and put aside
Now arrange the pot as follows: first the carrot rings to cover the bottom, then the rice and then the meat and the chicken
Press a bit the meat and chicken so they are pushed into the rice.
Add 1 cup of boiling water and the orange juice
Cover the pot and cook in oven overnight in 250 deg F
