Dough:
12oz self rising flour
1 tsp salt
¾ cup water
Filling:
1 cup of boiled garbanzo beans
5 tbsp olive oil
1 chopped onion
2 minced garlic cloves
12oz ground beef
1 tsp cumin
1 tsp tumeric
Salt and pepper to taste
Oil for deep frying
Directions:
Mix all ingredients and let cool in refrigerator
Process the garbanzo bean to a paste using food processor
In a pan heat the olive oil and fry the onion and the garlic shortly
Add the beef and fry to light brown
Add the garbanzo paste and the spices and fry for a minute more and set aside to cool down
Make dough balls about a tennis size, roll to a flat disc
Put a tbsp of filling in the center of the disc
Fold over to create a half circle and pinch the edges to seal well
Deep fry in oil until golden, remove and put on a paper towel to absorb excess of oil
