Ingredients:


Potatoes - 1 kg

Lemon - two tablespoons

One onion

Matso meal or regular flour - 1/4 cup

Eggs - two

Salt - one teaspoon

Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon

Oil


Directions:


Peel the potatoes and the onions and file grate them

Immediately put into a large bowl with two tablespoons and mix with the lemon juice to avoide oxidation

Drain the liquids from the mix

Add the flour, the eggs, the salt and the pepper and mix all together

Heat oil to medium-high temerature

Using a tablespoon, drop one TBS at a time into the oil and remove until brown to taste

Put the latkes on a paper town to absorb the oil
